Accessibility

A2BA is built for people who find forms and officialdom hard — including neurodivergent people. Accessibility is the point of it, not an afterthought.

Accessibility tools on every page

Select “Accessibility tools” in the green header bar to change:

• Colour — light, dimmed (warm, low-glare) or dark
• Text size — make everything larger or smaller
• Font — default, serif, or a dyslexia-friendly font

Your choices are remembered on your device. The default font is Atkinson Hyperlegible, designed for legibility.

How we try to make it easier

• One question per screen, in plain English, with no time pressure
• Your progress is saved so you can stop and come back
• A clear map of the whole process so you always know where you are
• Built on the GOV.UK Design System, which is widely tested for accessibility

How we are doing

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AAA where we reasonably can. We are still improving some areas — for example the contrast of the dark colour theme. If something is hard to use, please tell us so we can fix it.
